EarthCam Introduces New Construction Camera Technology at ENR FutureTech

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, December 11, 2014 -- For 2015, EarthCam is adding three high quality construction cameras to its robust lineup of documentation systems. The new GigapixelCam X10, 24 MegapixelCam Advanced and StreamCam 4K were developed to provide project teams with the highest quality megapixel images and live streaming video in the industry.

Each of these new construction cameras provides users with unique access to jobsites. The GigapixelCam X10 is equipped with a 360° programmable robotic base, which allows this one camera unit to cover more ground than dozens of fixed cameras. This patent pending webcam scans massive projects, such as airports, bridges and stadiums, and takes thousands of photos that are stitched into panoramas over 10 billion pixels in size. The built-in onboard storage backup and remote controllable wiper ensure that the system can reside in harsh or difficult to reach areas. Part of the end of project package is an incomparable time-lapse movie edited in-house by EarthCam producers.

The EarthCam Time-Lapse Series will now be equipped with a 24 megapixel digital SLR camera capable of archiving images at 6MP, 14MP and 24MP. The flexibility to choose one camera system with multiple image size options is a future-proof solution. Project teams are able to archive cost-effective 6MP images during one stage of construction and then switch to a higher resolution, all while keeping the same camera system.

Live streaming video is an important tool when monitoring a jobsite and promoting positive public outreach by attracting viewers to online project updates. The best way to showcase your project in real time is with the StreamCam 4K, which provides HD quality video that is the future generation of the broadcast industry. Daily video clips are pushed straight to your email and can be easily shared internally, as well as on social media like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. This leading edge construction camera is capable of 7.5 megapixel snapshots, which can be marked up, saved and shared directly to project management software.

An additional enhancement to all new EarthCam construction cameras in 2015 is the professional photo grade glass in the outdoor enclosure. The high quality glass ensures crisper images while reducing color filtration and any halos that occur from a glare at night. Every EarthCam megapixel camera will also be capable of live video previews so owners, developers, architects and general contractors can view real time or instant video from their desktop or mobile device.

“I am proud to be introducing the 2015 product line at FutureTech because it symbolizes our commitment to next generation webcam technology for the building industry,” said Brian Cury, CEO & Founder of EarthCam. "Our cameras are changing the way organizations monitor, document and promote projects, enhancing Lean Construction practices."

Webcams have rapidly become an integral piece of equipment on a jobsite. The most sophisticated construction webcams not only provide crystal clear images that accelerate the decision-making process, but also important data such as on-site weather and progress reports. EarthCam construction cameras are hard at work on the most important projects around the world to help teams collaborate and promote jobsite progress.
